What stays on the device
Finishing a project can save a few things, all of them in Foldly's own storage on your device:
- Which project was made, and when.
- A name, if your child gives their model one.
- The stickers they placed in decorate mode.
- A photo of the finished paper model, if they choose to add one.
None of it is transmitted, backed up to us, or readable by us. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Photos
If your child adds a photo of their model, Foldly uses Apple's system photo picker. That means the app never gets access to your photo library — only to the single image chosen, which is why Foldly does not ask for photo permission. The image is stored in the app and goes nowhere else. It is never uploaded, and never sent to any service for processing.
Children
Foldly is made for children, and is built so that there is nothing to protect: no personal information is requested, collected or stored, so none can be disclosed. There is no chat, no comments, no profiles, no social features and no way for anyone to contact a child through the app. Anything that spends money sits behind a grown-ups-only step first.
Buying the full set
The one-time purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, your payment details or your Apple Account. Foldly only ever asks the device a single question — whether this Apple Account has bought the unlock — and the answer is yes or no.
Third parties
There are none. Foldly contains no third-party code: no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter, no frameworks beyond Apple's own.
Changes
If this ever changes, this page changes first, and the date at the top changes with it.
