Privacy Policy — Bake Along

Last updated: September 19, 2026 · Provided by VertexLab Solutions LLC ("we", "us")
Bake Along is used by children. It has no account, no sign-in, and no analytics, and it sends nothing anywhere. This page is short because there is very little to describe.

1. The short version

Everything Bake Along stores — a first name, an age, an allergy note, progress, badges, and any photo of a finished tray — stays on the device. We never receive it, because the app never sends it. There are no ads, no third-party SDKs, no trackers, and no profile of your child anywhere.

2. What the app stores on the device

All of it lives in the app's own storage on your iPhone or iPad, protected by the device's encryption, and is removed when the app is deleted.

3. What we collect

Nothing. Bake Along has no server. There is no account system, no login, no newsletter, no crash-reporting SDK and no analytics SDK in the app. We cannot see what your child bakes, how often they open it, or whether they finished a recipe.

4. The camera

The app asks for camera access only when your child taps to photograph a finished bake. The photo is written into that child's passport on the device. It is not uploaded, and it is not added to your photo library unless you save it yourself. Decline the permission and every other part of the app still works.

5. Purchases

The Full Kitchen is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple tells the app one thing — whether this Apple ID has bought it — and nothing else. Family Sharing is supported, so one purchase covers the family.

6. Children

Bake Along is designed for children aged 7 to 10 baking with an adult nearby. It collects no personal information from anyone, so there is nothing to disclose to third parties, nothing to sell, and nothing that could be used to contact or identify a child. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, of any age.

7. Multiple bakers

A family can create more than one baker on the same device. Each baker's name, age, allergy note, progress and photos are kept separately, and all of it remains on the device. Deleting a baker in the app removes that baker's data from the device.

8. Your control

Because nothing leaves the device, you control all of it directly: edit or delete a baker inside the app, or delete the app to remove everything. There is no data of yours for us to hand over, correct or erase, because we never had any.

9. Changes

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version gains a feature that needs a network — we will update this page and the date at the top, and say plainly what changed before the feature ships.
